Originally a child of the desert, Kira migrated to the east coast to pursue her love of sound (and oysters). She spent several years in Boston bolstering her sound design + mixing skills, while also “wasting many perfectly good hours" listening to people’s auto troubles as part of her work at NPR’s Car Talk. Kira is now an EP at One Thousand Birds in New York and produces various projects for commercial, film, VR and interactive installations.

Her favorite sounds are canyon echoes, her cat's meows, and perfectly foleyed footsteps.
